Creamy Baked Mashed Potatoes with Cheese

Ingredients

  • Green peas – to taste
  • Corn – to taste
  • Ham – to taste
  • A small piece of butter
  • Milk – as needed
  • Mozzarella cheese – as much as you like
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper – to taste

    Steam the potato chunks for about 20 minutes, or until you can easily poke through them with a fork.

    Boil the corn and green peas in hot water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.

    While the potato is still hot, add the butter and mash it using a spoon or spatula.

    Add salt, black pepper, and enough milk to reach your desired consistency.

    Stir in the corn, peas, and diced ham. Mix well.

    Transfer the mashed potato mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (about 392°F) and bake for 10 minutes using top and bottom heat until the cheese melts and turns golden.(Alternatively, you can microwave it on high for 2–3 minutes, though it won’t have the browned, baked effect.)
