Ingredients
- Potatoes: 500g
- Butter: 20g
- Salt: 3g
- Fresh rosemary: 2 sprigs
- Thyme: 1/2 teaspoon
- Basil: 1/2 teaspoon
- Oregano: 1/2 teaspoon
- Cracked black pepper: to taste
- Smoked paprika (if available): 1 teaspoon
- Garlic: 1 whole head
Instructions
- 01Preheat the oven: Set your oven to baking mode (top and bottom heat) at 220°C (428°F). When the temperature indicator light turns off, preheating is complete. Place the butter in a small bowl and put it in the oven until melted. Remove once done.
- 02Prepare the potatoes: Peel the potatoes and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Rinse and drain thoroughly.
- 03Season the potatoes: Place the potatoes in a mixing bowl. Drizzle with the melted butter, sprinkle with salt, rosemary, thyme, basil, oregano, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Toss to coat evenly.
- 04Arrange for baking: Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil. Spread the potatoes out in a single layer. Slice the whole garlic head horizontally and place it in a corner of the tray.
- 05Bake: Lower the oven temperature to 200°C (392°F). Roast for about 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crisp on the outside.
- 06Serve: Sprinkle with additional salt to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!
